GEO Experience
Audited GEO: 90+ map states and camera scenarios.
Geocoding, pins, routing, ETA and driver search.
Defined a map standard for 49+ countries and a JSON spec
for Google Maps, 2GIS, Yandex Maps and OSM.
Redesigned A/B points: trip creation became 18% faster, errors fell by 40%, and search cancellations by 12%.
Unified map themes and POI; added a Map UI Kit to the inDrive design system.
GEO CJM
A full audit and redesign of the GEO experience: map behavior, geocoder logic, routing, UX patterns, and how drivers and passengers move across different countries
Worked on the entire trip journey:
from point A
→ to point B
→ adding stops
→ finding a driver
→ car arrival
→ driving the route
→ trip completion
→ feedback review
Deep analysis of maps
Defined unified rules for showing POI and map data across all zoom levels
Wrote a universal JSON spec of map behavior that works with any provider
Maps behave the same way across 49+ countries
LIGHT & DARK THEME
A unified standard for light and dark map themes:
• map contrast aligned with the app UI
• palettes tuned for every landscape type
• noticeably clearer route readability
• depth levels for routes and POI
• consistent visual balance on Android and iOS
Result:
routes and key points stay in focus with any theme and any map provider
In-depth POI research across zoom levels
Studied how competitors show POI at every zoom stage
Compared:
• POI density
• show and hide rules
• object priority (hospitals, metro, airports)
• cognitive load
• route readability
• UX patterns in countries with poor geodata
These insights became the base of inDrive’s unified POI standard
Map UI Kit
as part
of the inDrive
design system
Built a complete Map UI Kit:
• every pin type
• route styles
• the POI system
• pickup zones
• movement zones
• transport icons
• fallback states
• light and dark layouts
• map rules for Android and iOS
Result:
one standard used across the entire service.
